Role Summary
The DevOps Engineer will design, build, and maintain infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD deployment systems to enable safe, reliable, and rapid software delivery. This role bridges development and operations, focusing on infrastructure-as-code (IaC), pipeline optimization, and cross-functional environment consistency.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Optimization: Design, build, and optimize automated pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, etc.) supporting blue-green or zero-downtime workflows.
Infrastructure as Code: Provision and configure cloud infrastructure using declarative IaC tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
Environment Management: Normalize, maintain, and secure environments across Dev, Test, Staging, and Production while managing cloud operational costs.
Automation & Tooling: Eliminate manual tasks by creating robust scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) and developer self-service tooling.
Observability & Triage: Partner with SRE to implement application telemetry (monitoring, logging, alerts) and quickly troubleshoot infrastructure or deployment failures.
Requirements (Skills & Experience)
Experience: 4+ years of dedicated professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Build/Release Engineering roles.
Cloud Ecosystems: Deep architectural and hands-on experience with hyperscale cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
CI/CD Frameworks: Demonstrated mastery managing major pipeline architectures (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins).
IaC Tooling: Strong structural fluency with Infrastructure-as-Code setups (specifically Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
Scripting Fluency: Advanced script writing proficiency in automation-focused languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go).
Observability Tools: Experience configuring application telemetry and central logging stacks (Datadog, Application Insights, ELK, Prometheus).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical enterprise experience.
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect
Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD)
