About the role

You’ll join CAST R&D as an individual contributor on the CAST Imaging team, building the web platform for CAST Imaging — from the React front end through to the REST services and data access behind it. R&D is a fast-paced, multicultural Agile environment with teammates in Bangalore and Paris.

Over six months you’ll work the full stack on real features in a production codebase — a sophisticated source code analysis platform that uses parsing, control flow, and data flow analysis to understand the IT systems used by Fortune 500 companies. You’ll touch both the UI and the server-side logic that powers it. This is a hands-on engineering internship, and there’s room to go deeper on the layers that interest you most as you grow.

What you’ll do

Build and improve features across the stack — React front end and the REST/Java services behind it — collaborating with engineers and designers
Write unit tests on both the client and server side, and participate in code reviews
Contribute to design discussions for new features, end to end
Take part in defining best practices and exploring new technology

What we’re looking for

Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Solid programming fundamentals and an interest in building across the full stack
Front end: working knowledge of JavaScript (OO JavaScript, closures, module patterns), HTML, and CSS, with at least one modern framework — React preferred (Vue, Angular, or Backbone also welcome)
Back end: familiarity with Java/ GO (OOP, collections, database access)/ and building or consuming REST web services
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn quickly and work independently

Bonus points (nice to have, not required)

A JavaScript testing framework such as Jest, Mocha, or Karma
Advanced CSS with SASS or LESS
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools
Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases

Eligible institutions: IITs and NITs only (Tier A)
Available for a full 6-month internship starting at the earliest from July 2026
Current student in 7th Semester (B.E/B.Tech) and those in 8th semester
Based in or able to work from Bangalore [on-site / hybrid — 3 DAYS]
